Seagate Technology Innovates in How Data Is Stored, Shared and Used

In addition, the Company’s Hard Disk Drives (HDDs), Solid State Drives (SSDs), and data storage systems are purpose-built for enterprise and data center performance, scalability, reliability and security. Seagate’s HDDs are purpose-built for numerous applications, workloads, and storage tiers to maximize storage efficiency. The Company’s Enterprise SSDs provide flash-based storage for immediate data access.

The Company has launched the industry’s fastest and highest-performing hard drive—the Seagate® Enterprise Performance 15K HDD v6. It features capacities up to 900GB. The drive optimizes mission critical workloads through delivering the industry’s highest data performance (up to 315MB/s sustained transfer rate).

At the end of October 2016, Seagate Technology announced the new Game Drive for Xbox SSD, providing elite gamers fast boot and load performance. It’s designed exclusively for Xbox. The Seagate® Game Drive for Xbox SSD utilizes flash storage to improve the gaming experience. The Seagate Game Drive decreases waiting at welcome screens. It also enables faster transitions between levels in top titles such as Forza Horizon 3 and Gears of War 4.

For Q1 Fiscal Year 2017, Seagate Technology had Revenue of $2.8 billion; Gross Margin (non-GAAP) of 29.5 percent; and Cash Flow from Operations of $592 million. Additionally, the Company had Diluted EPS (Earnings per Share, non-GAAP) of $0.99 per share.  HDD Capacity Shipped for Seagate was 67 exabytes.
